Architectural Drafting 11

Elective credit
Open to grade 11/12 students only
Architectural Drafting 11 is a course for students interested in
primarily learning fundamental Architectural drafting skills and
tackling technology challenges using creative ideas. Students
will be introduced to some advanced manual drafting
techniques and will be required to work in AutoCAD, and
Punch Home Design software. Skill development will be
enhanced through exploration of the following topics:

  • Advanced Mechanical Drafting (Detailing)
  • Residential building design, materials and terminology (Punch Home Design computer software)
  • Designing and drawing complete house plans and elevations (both by using manual drafting techniques and AutoCAD computer software)
  • Producing an architectural model from student produced designs.
