Mr. Long's Grade 10s have recently made Cubist Still Lifes. Students worked hard looking at the same object but at different angles to create such interesting artwork.
Mr. Long's Grade 10 Class was asked to provide artwork for a display benefitting Covenant House. The class worked collaboratively to brainstorm images that would represent the guiding principles of Covenant House and communicate the theme “Open Hearts Open Minds”. Block G were extremely impressive in the way they worked together, under tight time constrictions, to create this beautiful and powerful work of art. We are very proud of them.
Mr. Long’s grade 10 art class started the year by creating autobiographical comic books. The unit was designed to introduce student’s to new art processes and methods of expression. Our end product was a compilation comic book of everyone’s work. If you’d like to see a copy of our classes’ comic, ask your son or daughter for their copy or contact Mr. Dean Long.
