Vancouver Marathon Volunteers Needed – This event, on Sun. May 6, requires volunteers, 18 years of age or older, to work in a variety of capacities. In particular, for those interested in the healthcare field, they are looking for people to be a part of the medical services team. While having a valid first aid certificate is desirable, they can accommodate a variety of helpers. Please sign up at https://registration.bmovanmarathon.ca/volunteer.php
Youth Development Opportunity – If you are 18 or older, and wondering what the next steps in your life will be, this program may be for you. Taking place in May, this program will help you focus on the transitions in your life so that you can better orient yourself beyond high school. There is $800 bursary available for every applicant who requests one. The facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/events/102591499872444/, describes more detail.
We will be having a lunch meeting for the senior (grade 11 – 12) students on April 24th at 11:40 in room 205 and for junior students (grade 8 -10) on April 26th also in room 205. Please be on time. Pizza will be provided. Thanks
June Provincial Exam Sign-up – This note is for students who wish to write in June, but who are not currently enrolled at Point Grey in that subject. This would be for students wishing to re-write an exam already taken, or for students who completed the course at another time and/or at another location. You must contact your Counsellor by Monday, May 7 to indicate which exam(s) you wish to take. This is not necessary for students who are currently enrolled at Point Grey in that subject – you are automatically registered.
