All materials borrowed from the library are now overdue. Lists have been posted outside the library and in the main hall outside the office. Please check for your name on these lists and return anything which belongs to the library ASAP.

Future Science LeadersProgram – Students going into grades 10 and 11 next year and who have an interest in science or technology are encouraged to participate in this exciting opportunity. Meetings take place weekly during the school year where you will experiment alongside other students and be mentored by leaders in the field. Details are available at scienceworld.ca/futurescienceleaders, and there will be an information night on Friday, June 22, 6:30 PM at Science World.

DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD PROGRAM
Attention students interested in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Program. There is an important organizational meeting at lunchtime in the Career Centre on Monday, June 4th (Room 218) at lunchtime. See Mr. Baxter

Young Women’s Discovery Weekend – Girls 13 – 17 are invited to participate in a conference-style event on June 23 & 24 at a camp in Langley that will focus on self-esteem, relationships, empowerment, creative expression and leadership. Go to www.discoveryweekend.ca for more information and to register. The cost of $155 may be offset by application for sponsorship.

Volunteer at Kerrisdale Community Centre – Seeking responsible, enthusiastic and motivated youth for summer day camps. Develop leadership skills while leading activities, supervising out-trips and mentoring children. Minimum commitment is one week, and training will be provided.
