If you are currently in Grades 10 &#8211; 12, have leadership experience, experience planning and leading activities with youth, and good communication skills, this may be for you, especially if you understand some of the issues faced by new arrivals to Canada. You will need to commit to a variety of dates (likely two meetings in June, one in late July, one in mid-August and the NOW event August 26 &#8211; 29). Application by May 24 will require referral of your Counsellor; please visit right away to pick-up the nomination form.</p>

This should be done right away because verification takes one week.</p>
<p><strong>UBC SUMMER SCHOLARS PROGRAM</strong><br />
Students between 16-18, who will be entering Grades 11 and 12 next year, and who are in good academic standing, are eligible to apply. The program, from July 14-27, will provide a solid foundation in sustainability and the science behind environmental issues at the UBC Okanagan campus. Study with top UBC professors and learn with fellow scholars from around the world. The on-line application deadline has been extended to May 31; go to http://www.summerprogram.isi.ubc.ca/ for more information.</p>
