ESL 2 Reading and Writing

Prerequisite: placement test given either by the VSB or the ESL Department at Point Grey indicating that the student’s ability is that of a student in the lower intermediate grades or successful completion of ESL 1.

The course teaches intermediate grammatical patterns and vocabulary. Emphasis is on the understanding of text at the elementary and junior high grade level, the answering, in written sentences, of comprehension questions, and the writing of paragraphs.
